Google’s upcoming hardware event is fast approaching and the company is expected to announce a number of new devices. These include the Google Home Mini, the Pixel 4 smartphones, Google WiFi 2 and a new pair of Pixel Buds. In addition to those new products, the company is also expected to reveal the new Pixelbook Go.

The upcoming device has mostly been a mystery, except for a few details about its operating system Chrome OS. In developing the hardware, Google takes a new title as a secretive hardware maker.

Fortunately, Google can’t keep its secret works from the prying lens of the tech media as the tech website 9to5Google has managed to grab on what looks like one of the final prototypes of the new Google Pixelbook Go. The latest leaks bring the full breadth of specification, finally showing everything about the new Google laptop.

The Pixelbook Go is basically a MacBook that runs on a version of Chrome OS, while others described it as an enhanced version of the previous Google Chromebook. The Pixelbook Go shown in the latest leak is, reportedly, a near-final prototype, which makes it more accurate.

Based on the leaked photo of the Pixelbook Go prototype model, the new device brings a 13.3-inch touchscreen full HD or 4K display. It boasts an Intel Core m3 (i5 and i7 configurations) processor along with 8GB or 16GB of RAM. The device also offers 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage options.

The report from 9to5Google did not detail the material used to build the device, but it did mention that the back of the device features a Googley “Not Pink” color. The top of the hardware has a smooth, matte finish that looks like the glass cover back seen on the Google Pixel 3 smartphone.

Unlike the unique design of the Google tablet Pixel Slate, the Pixelbook Go offers a MacBook-like design. Opening the laptop, you get a 2-megapixel camera that rests on the top of the HD display. The device also houses two far-field mic for taking Google Assistant voice commands. The keyboard is just as good as or maybe better than the first Pixelbook version, while the trackpad seemed sufficiently responsive and clicky, as what 9to5Google reported earlier.

The Pixelbook Go has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and two USB-C ports, located on the left and right side of the device. There’s also has LEDs to indicate the device’s charging status and like with the previous version of Pixelbook, you can also charge the laptop from either port.

Other features provided by the latest leaks include the 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2 front-firing speakers, Titan C security processor, WiFi and Bluetooth, two USB-C ports, Fingerprint sensor, and Pixelbook pen support. Check out the video below to get more about the new Pixelbook Go laptop.
