  • Karissa and Kristina Shannon made several allegations about Hugh Hefner on A&E's docuseries "Secrets of Playboy"
  • They alleged that Hefner forced them into having a threesome with him when they turned 19
  • Kristina alleged that she and her sister caught chlamydia at one point during their time in the Playboy mansion

Hugh Hefner's twin ex-girlfriends Karissa and Kristina Shannon are opening up about the Playboy founder, 13 years after the end of their 18-month relationship.

The 32-year-old sisters, whose relationship with Hefner was chronicled for E!'s reality series "The Girls Next Door," detailed their time with the late mogul on Monday night's episode of A&E's docuseries "Secrets of Playboy."

International Business Times has not independently verified the allegations reported in the episode. A&E also advised viewers that the "vast majority of allegations have not been the subject of criminal investigations or charges, and they do not constitute proof of guilt."

In the docuseries, Karissa and Kristina claimed they were diagnosed with PTSD from their relationship with Hefner.

"Every time I've done it with him, it's assault," Karissa was quoted by People as claiming of sex with Hefner. "To me, it's like rape."

"He has so much power. It's like you're in a cult," said Kristina. "You lose yourself being there, all that innocence about us [was lost]. It's hard, it's like being in prison and someone breaking you in solitary confinement. You're just broken."

Hefner's other ex-girlfriend, Holly Madison, also described the mansion's atmosphere as "cult-like." In an earlier episode of "Secrets of Playboy," Madison claimed, "We were all kind of gaslit and expected to think of Hef as like this really good guy."

Kristina and Karissa were 18 years old when they met then-83-year-old Hefner, who first saw the twins' photos while overseeing the search for Playboy's 55th Anniversary Playmate on "Girls Next Door."

When they received an invitation from Hefner to move into the Playboy Mansion with him, they claimed they didn't realize at the time that the offer came with strings. "Hell no, you don't think an 80-year-old man is sleeping with [all] these women," Karissa said.

However, the Shannon twins said that they realized "what we got ourselves into" on the night of their 19th birthday.

They claimed Kendra Wilkinson invited them to smoke marijuana in Hefner's bedroom but found only the aging mogul in the room. Hefner allegedly offered them "a pill" to ease their nerves, and Karissa claimed they immediately felt "really f---ed up … the most inebriated we've ever been."

Kristina and Karissa alleged that Hefner then forced them into having a threesome with him. "After that night, I didn't feel like my body was mine anymore," Kristina said. "Like, I felt used, disgusted."

At one point during their time in the Playboy mansion, Kristina alleged that she and her sister caught chlamydia, which resulted in the twins vowing to never again sleep with Hefner, who allegedly "doesn't like to use protection."

Karissa also claimed that she once became pregnant with Hefner's child but that she had an abortion because she allegedly didn't want the mogul to have a way to "control me even more, have me on a leash."

"I felt disgusted with my body," she continued. "I felt like there was something like an alien inside me. I was grossed out. I just wanted to get it over with."

Despite the trauma she experienced from the alleged procedure, however, Karissa said that she "100%" made the right decision.

Playboy released a statement before the docuseries premiered stating that the company today "is not Hugh Hefner's Playboy."

"We trust and validate women and their stories, and we strongly support the individuals who have come forward to share their experiences," the statement read.

"Secrets of Playboy" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on A&E.
