PlayStation 5 Might Offer Next Generation Feature For Game Sountracks
PlayStation is reportedly working closely with Sony Music to ensure that PlayStation 5 games will have curated soundtracks. According to a new report, upcoming PS5 titles could feature far more closely embedded music from officially licensed soundtracks. This rumored feature is due to PlayStation’s latest creative collaboration with Sony Music.
The guinea pig of this new partnership is the title “Death Stranding,” which is scheduled to arrive in November. The game features its very own specially curated soundtrack from Bring Me Horizon and CHVRCHES. All of the game’s soundtracks will be integrated far seamlessly into the gameplay of “Death Stranding.”
If fans receive “Death Stranding's” integration of music well, Sony will most likely do something similar with its future PlayStation 5 games. Rolling Stone cited sources within Sony, who claimed that the game is seen as a crucial benchmark of an increased creative partnership between Sony Music Group and PlayStation prior to the launch of the PlayStation 5 sometime in the holiday of 2020.
Jim Ryan, President, and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, officially announced the release date of Sony’s next-generation gaming console, placing it in the same timeline as the Xbox Scarlett’s release window. If the latest report is true, this would be the first detail that we have learned about how PlayStation 5 games will stand out from previous PlayStation 4 titles aside from the obvious graphics upgrade.
Credible industry insider Daniel Ahmed has recently teased that we will hear unexpected news about the PlayStation 5 soon. At this point, we don’t have any clue what could the next announcement be about. A previous rumor claimed that Sony plans to host a PS5 event in Feb 2020, where it will launch the PlayStation 5 design and perhaps announce some of the PS5 exclusive titles.
We might hear more crucial information about Sony’s PlayStation 5, perhaps at the E3 2020, if the Japanese gaming console maker decides to attend the event. Sony could also announce at that time the release date and the price of the PS5. While the report may sound interesting, it is important to note that it is not officially from Sony, we suggest you take this with a good dose of skepticism.
