‘Pokémon Sun And Moon’: Tapu Koko Battles Ultra Beast UB-02 Absorption, UB-02 Beauty In New Trailer [WATCH]
The latest teaser trailer for “Pokémon Sun and Moon” shows the official debut of new Ultra Beast UB-02 Absorption and UB-02 Beauty. And by the looks of things, the two new Ultra Beast really bring bad news to the people and Pokémon of the Alola Region.
On Wednesday, The Official Pokémon Channel uploaded a new teaser clip for Game Freak’s two upcoming RPGs. The trailer features the two other Ultra Beast in the alternate worlds of “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” aside from the previously revealed UB-01.
In the teaser trailer, the two version-exclusive creatures could be seen descending from the heavens to land on Melemele Island, where Hala, the island’s kahuna is awaiting their arrival. According to the official “Pokémon Sun and Moon” website, a kahuna is a leader chosen by the guardian deities of each island in the Alola Region. In Melemele Island, Hala is the kahuna and he happens to be the one who would give Trainers their starter Pokémon.
It isn’t clear why the new Ultra Beast are out to fight Hala, who summons special Pokémon Tapu Koko in the new teaser trailer. Tapu Koko is apparently the guardian deity of Melemele Island, so it won’t be surprising if it is there to battle the powerful beasts to protect the people and Pokémon of the island.
Tapu Koko’s Ability is Electric Surge and it also has a special move called Nature’s Madness that can reduce a Pokémon’s HP by half. Unfortunately, it is still unknown if Ultra Beast have Pokémon HP, since they were previously reported to be special creatures that are not classified as Pokémon.
Prior the trailer, UB-02 Beauty and UB-02 Absorption were leaked in CoroCoro’s latest issue. The latter was even called UB-02 Expansion by the Japanese magazine. Also, as reported previously, UB-02 Beauty has the power to eliminate its opponent’s desire to fight, while UB-02 Absorption is so strong, it’s body can act as a deadly weapon.
“Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” are scheduled to hit the U.S. market on Nov. 18. Stay tuned for more details about the Nintendo 3DS-exclusive titles.
