"Pokemon Sword And Shield" DLC: Details Of Isle Of Armor And Crown Tundra Revealed
KEY POINTS
The first expansion for “Pokemon Sword and Shield” – The Isle of Armor DLC – is coming out on June 17. It will bring a lot of new features in the games, including some new Pokemon, as well as other additions to the base game.
According to the Sword and Shield website, the DLC will bring the first new adventure to be unlocked by the upcoming Expansion Pass. The first DLC brings people to the Isle of Armor, an island found in the Galar region. The description says that players will be able to visit different environments that they have never encountered before in the main region of Galar.
The island features different beaches, bogs, caves, forests and sand dunes. There are also different Pokemon that appear in the DLC, those that are found living in the environment of the island. According to the description, on the island is a dojo for Pokemon battles. Players will be able to develop their skills under the trainer Mustard, the master of the dojo.
The other PoKemon arriving by way of the DLC include the newly revealed Galarian Slowbro, Gamespot reported. There is also the Legendary Fighting-type Pokemon Kubfu, which evolves into Urshifu. Its form will depend on whether the player chooses to climb the Tower of Darkness or the Tower of Waters, structures found in the island.
Urshifu is also one of the few Pokemon found in the game that can Gigantamax, with each of its alternate forms possessing a different signature G-max move. Urshifu can turn into either the Single Strike style Urshifu – which uses the G-Max One Blow – or the Rapid Style Urshifu, which uses G-Max Rapid Flow.
Other Pokemon which will make an appearance in the game are Gigantamax forms of popular fan favorites Venusaur and Blastoise. The player appears to receive one of the two Pokemon from the island, each possessing a different G-Max move. Venusaur uses the G-Max Vine Lash, while Blastoise uses G-Max Cannonade.
The Isle of Armor DLC will arrive in June 17, but there had been events that hyped the two DLCs arrival. Players were able to previously claim a Galarian Ponyta with its Hidden Ability until July 4. Additionally, transferring a Pokemon from Sword or Shield to Pokemon Home will let players receive the three Galar starters with their Hidden Abilities.
