'Poopetrator': Woman Poops In The Middle Of Beauty Store Aisle, Ruins 8 Wigs
A woman allegedly defecated inside a Kansas beauty supply store and ruined around $200 worth of wigs.
Cops called the woman a “poopetrator” on Facebook and asked for the public’s help in identifying her. They were able to identify the suspect shortly after sharing the post.
The woman allegedly walked into a Mid-K Beauty Supply store in Wichita on May 10 and was captured on surveillance video defecating in the middle of one of the aisles, KAKE News reported.
“The defecation was significant enough that 8 wigs were destroyed as a result, and the business would like to know who the poopetrator is so they can pursue criminal charges,” the Wichita Police Department wrote Tuesday on Facebook. “The incident was captured on video surveillance, but for the good of all of you we are not posting the footage of the offending fecal assault.”
Officer Trevor Macy said the woman’s visit to the store on May 10 was not the only time she chose a public spot as her personal toilet. The manager of Mid-K Beauty Supply told cops she had “done this” at another one of their store locations on May 11, Macy told the Wichita Eagle.
It was unclear why the woman committed the acts at the stores.
“We’ll have to talk to her about that,” the officer added.
Macy also clarified that the damaged wigs, valued at around $200, were not used as toilet paper but were on display on a wall behind the woman’s public potty spot.
The wigs “had to be destroyed,” Macy told the outlet.
The woman was identified less than two hours after the police department asked the public if they had any information about the suspect.
“Thanks for your help, Wichita! The person has been identified,” the department said in a Facebook update.
The department’s post was flooded with comments about the “unique case.”
“I'm so sorry to the employees who had to deal with this,” said one comment, to which the police department responded: “they’re the real victims here…”
“Let’s hope you can wipe this case clean and flush away the memories,” another comment said.
“This might be one of those cases that sticks with us,” the police department said in response.
