Portia De Rossi Reaction To Ellen DeGeneres Split, Pregnancy Rumors Revisited: ‘We’re Accepted’

Portia De Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are constantly plagued by split and pregnancy rumors, but she previously shared her two cents regarding the speculations in a previous interview.

DeGeneres and de Rossi have been married for 11 years now. However, there are still malicious reports and speculations claiming that their marriage is on the rocks. Just recently, the split rumors reignited after Ellen kissed her friend, Jennifer Aniston, in an episode of “The Ellen Show” in October.

Aside from divorce and split rumors, there were also talks of Portia getting pregnant. Contrary to the speculations, de Rossi and DeGeneres’ relationship remains strong, and the rumors only made Portia feel that they are “finally accepted” because they have been subjected to similar issues as every celebrity couples do.

“I thought, ‘Wow, this is great that I’m pregnant, not pregnant, divorced, not divorced, whatever. That means there is an acceptance for this,” de Rossi previously told Us Weekly.

She also recalled an incident when she saw a magazine cover about Brad Pitt and the couple’s friend, Aniston. “I was at a newsstand … and there was a cover of Brad [ Pitt ] and Jen [ Aniston ],” Portia shared.

“I literally just stared at it, and I was like, ‘They haven’t seen each other. … How is this even a thing? I know for a fact.’ … I actually took a picture of it and sent it to Ellen and said, ‘Can you believe this?’ Anyway, no, in other words, we avoid it. We don’t care,” she continued.

In August, the TV host and “Scream 2” star celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary. DeGeneres celebrated the special occasion with a heartfelt tribute to her wife.

DeGeneres shared a black and white photo from their wedding in 2008 on Instagram. “Happy anniversary, Portia. 11 years. My favorite number with my favorite person,” she wrote in the caption.

In the same month, the couple were also seen visiting London in a helicopter. They stepped onto the Battersea helipad together and walked to a waiting car.

At the time, there were rumors that they are visiting Meghan Markle and baby Archie Harrison. Months after the said sighting, the TV show host confirmed that they met the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as their firstborn, Archie. In one episode of her show, DeGeneres said that Archie looks like Prince Harry, but the royal baby “had more hair than I did at the time.”
