The next Season 2 episode of "Power Book II: Ghost” airs Sunday on Starz and will see Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) sit in court as he continues to fight to clear his innocence for the murder of Jabari Reynolds (Justin Marcel McManus) and Officer Ramirez.

In a sneak peek of episode 9, "A Fair Fight," Davis (Method Man) delivers a harsh call to Tariq demanding answers. “What does Rashad Tate know about you that I don’t? He is our next witness,” he says. Tariq then holds his phone against his head as he gathers another way out of this storm.

Tariq takes a cautious approach after class to offer his condolences. “I’m sorry about Professor Milgram (Melanie Liburd),” but before he can finish his sentence, he's met with a harsh-toned councilman, saying, “You don’t actually think through anything.”

The sneak-peek video also shows the Tejadas are in a war with every member of the family having all hands on deck. The head of Tejada’s household, Lorenzo (Berto Colon), demands his family go out to get revenge, and Cane (Woody McClain) gives orders to his brother. “I gave you a gun. Use it,” he says.

Elsewhere, Monet (Mary J. Blige) comes to realize her past lover Mecca (Daniel Sunjata) would stop at nothing to take everything she has.

"Power Book II: Ghost" showrunner and writer Courtney Kemp took to Instagram Live on Tuesday to answer questions about the next episode, reports CheatSheet, telling viewers that "Monet is going do everything she can to get back her power."

The "Power Book II: Ghost" Season 2, episode 9 airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Starz.
