Is Pregnant Brie Bella Really Retired From WWE? ‘Total Diva’ Star Vows To Make A Comeback
WWE “Total Diva” star Brie Bella retired after she became pregnant, but that doesn’t mean she’s done with wrestling forever. While being a mother is the most important thing for Bella, she could see herself getting back in the ring for future matches.
“I mean, obviously being a mother will come first — I would never go full time back on the road — but I would love to come back for matches,” Bella, 33, told Hollywood Life in an exclusive report Tuesday.
She wants to prove that mothers are strong, too. “Mama Bears can go in there and whoop some butt! I would like to have the same kind of comeback,” she told the publication.
In fact, Bella would like to wrestle again by the summer, even though her due date is April 30. “…I am prepping myself now for natural birth. I am going to power through that and then I feel like six to eight weeks after I give birth I can then start training. So that could all be wishful thinking but it is my goal!” she said.
The brunette star has enjoyed pregnancy. “Just seeing my belly grow and hearing my baby’s heartbeat and seeing these ultrasounds, it really is the most incredible time of my life! I can’t explain, but when I always hear mothers say, ‘You have no idea about the unconditional love that will happen!’ Now I get it,” Bella told Hollywood Life.
Bella regularly posts pictures of her burgeoning baby bump to Instagram. In her post from Monday, she compared her swollen belly to her mother’s pregnant tummy. “Pregnant like my Mama!!! ✨ Mama Bella @kathycolace on the right pregnant with @thenikkibella and I.....I'm on the left ❤ #getsitfromhermama,” she captioned the side-by-side photo.
Her mother sees the resemblance, too. “My Mom looks at me and says, ‘Brie you are pregnant exactly like me!’ From cravings to the weight gain, to everything!” she said.
On Wednesday’s episode of “Total Divas,” the couple talked about having children. “Of course I wanna have kids,” Daniel tells Bella in the episode.
“Total Divas” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on E!
