Pregnant Peta Murgatroyd Posts Sweet Instagram Picture With Maksim Chmerkovskiy For Anniversary

“Dancing With the Stars” pro Peta Murgatroyd took to Instagram to share a sweet picture of fiancé Maksim Chmerkovskiy to celebrate their anniversary. The couple is expecting their first child together.

“To my best friend, with whom I get to spend the rest of my life with….. You are everything that I’ve always dreamed of and I can’t wait for the next 50 years where I can fall asleep beside you, and fall in love all over again,” she captioned Tuesday’s post. The Australian dancer added the hashtags: #happyanniversary, #inlove and #soontobethree. The post was liked more than 21,000 times by her 649,000 followers hours after it was shared. The day before she added a kissing picture and wrote, “Mine for life.”

Murgatroyd was kicked out of Lamaze birthing class, Chmerkovskiy explained in a hilarious Instagram video Sunday. Murgatroyd, who is 35 weeks pregnant, was “misbehaving” in class and didn’t listen. “That’s what happened,” he said Sunday’s clip. “This baby is going to be a disaster.”

But Chmerkovskiy wasn’t mad. “I don’t blame her,” he added. “Cause it was a million hours long and we’ve been shown waaaaaaay too much stuff! My hair is indicative of the ‘stuff’ we’ve witnessed. #traumatized #NothingToHashtag.”

Even though they’re happy now, things weren’t always easy for the couple. The dancers split for brief time in 2014. “I realized right away that I’d made a mistake,” Chmerkovskiy told People Magazine in December 2015 about breaking up with Murgatroyd. “So I would take every opportunity to hover around.”

“I dodged a bullet [by getting her back] because she could have fallen in love with somebody else and this never would’ve happened,” he added. “She’s my best friend.” Chmerkovskiy proposed Dec. 5, 2015.

The couple plans to welcome their child, a baby boy, next month. They have not revealed what they plan to call their bundle-of-joy.
