Pregnant Woman Beheaded, Naked Body Found Inside Apartment By Boyfriend

A decapitated body of a pregnant woman was found inside her apartment in Costa Blanca in Spain on Wednesday. According to local reports, the woman's naked body was discovered on the bed by her boyfriend.

Isabell Elena Răducanu, a 36-year-old mother-of-one, allegedly worked as a sex worker. Her boyfriend Juan Vicente told police that when he arrived in the apartment in Xàtiva town, he found his partner lying naked with a large knife wound to the side of her neck, local media El Pais reported.

Police said they were investigating the murder but as of Thursday, no arrests were made. The City Council of Xativa condemned the killing and the mayor of the town declared a day of mourning for the murder victim.

"Ours is a quiet city full of women who deserve the guarantee of continuing with a project of life in equality and fullness, in exercise of their rights," the mayor said, demanding the "strongest repudiation" to "any manifestation of sexist violence against women."

The victim's friend, Magnolia Molina Dominhues, reportedly wrote online: "I promise Isabell Elena Raducanu that we are going to do justice for you, and for what you love most... I'm going to give you all the love you gave your little girl."

According to the Daily Mail, the latest incident comes just a day after a man murdered his partner in a suspected murder-suicide around 47 miles away in Alboraya. The 48-year-old alleged murderer killed himself by jumping from the balcony of his house, on the fifth floor of the coastal resort Port Saplaya.
