KEY POINTS

  • Alexandre Lacazette has no plans to bolt Arsenal
  • Lacazette could be swapped for other players
  • Inter could to after Aubameyang instead

Arsenal FC is trying to make ends meet with Mikel Arteta's findings ways to make the team better. Several players on their end have been linked to potential transfer moves. But if there is one player who has no plans of departing, it would be Alexandre Lacazette. With two years remaining in his contract, the Frenchman seems poised to finish his commitment before thinking of his next move.

Despite his current two-year contract, several teams have been linked to the 29-year-old forward. The most notable team pursuing him is Inter Milan followed by Atletico Madrid. L'Equipe claims that Inter has already made a move to potentially sign Lacazette. Arsenal has yet to confirm if these reports are true.

Based on the moves of Inter, it may not come as a surprise. The I Nerrazzurri has been exploring options as it sets out to add another scorer to the club. The initiative is believed to be in preparation for the likely exit of Lautaro Martinez. It was previously reported that one team keen on getting the 22-year-old Argentine national was FC Barcelona. But considering it would take big money for that to prosper, it may take time. Inter is asking roughly $120 million for clubs interested in getting Martinez.

Considering that most clubs are facing financial difficulties, Barca will have to pull major moves to come up with the asking transfer fee of Inter. Just the same, La Beneamata could explore the market and seek someone who could replace the Argentine if Barca or some other team can raise funds necessary.

Though Lacazette seems happy with the Gunners, he could move out differently. Swaps with other teams could happen, a move meant to revolve funds on Arsenal's end. It is no secret that Arteta has other players on his radar and money will become a problem. Aside from the Frenchman, another player who could be moving out is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Among the teams interested in Aubameyang include Manchester United, Barca and ironically Inter too.

With football seasons slowly restarting, identifying who stays and who goes may depend on how they play for the rest of the way. Lacazzetta has shown no signs of wanting out, meaning Inter may want to focus on Aubameyang or some other striker who wants a change of scenery next season.
