Premier League Rumors: Pogba Next Stop May Not Be Juventus, Agent Says
KEY POINTS
- Other teams could join Pogba sweepstakes
- Move to Juventus not a sure thing for Pogba
- Real Madrid is interested in Pogba
Though he has not played that much this season due to an injury, Paul Pogba remains a player that can help any team. He is currently tied up with Manchester United and it will take a huge offer to pry him away from the Red Devils.
According to sports agent Mino Raiola, Juventus may not be the only team in the race for the French football player. Pogba will have options this summer with Real Madrid also a potential landing spot. The reason here is that Zinedine Zidane showed his admiration for his fellow Frenchman. In fact, he mentioned in a report from Goal.com that the Blancos are planning to make a bid for Pogba at some stage.
“I know him very well, he’s a different kind of player and he can provide many things because of his skills. He knows how to attack and defend," Zidane said.
Pogba holds a $116 million contract over in United although he has hardly been utilized due to injury. The 26-year-old midfielder remains out of commission due to an ankle injury he sustained back in December. Regardless, teams seem to be convinced that the World Cup winner is someone that can be relied upon if he is at 100-percent health.
“There’s nothing impossible in the transfer market, that has already been proved by Juve, PSG, Real Madrid. The achievement of impossible things is part of this business,” Raiola said.
Though he remains with Man Utd. it appears the Red Devils already have planned ahead. In a previous post, it was reported that they are targeting Jack Grealish of Aston Villa. Though the Red Devils will also have to make a huge pitch to land the 24-year-old star, the numbers tied up to that would depend on the proceeds from a speculated Pogba deal.
In another report, Grealish has reportedly already seen the outline of the contract he would be getting with Manchester United. Actual numbers were not revealed but it will reportedly be more than the £100,000 per week deal he currently earns at Villa Park.
From the looks of it, a Pogba exit seems to be happening. The only question now is which team will shell out big money to get the central midfielder to their side.
