Only two episodes remain in the fourth season of “Pretty Little Liars,” and the ABC Family series is going out with a bang. Will “A” be unmasked? Will Alison be able to come out of hiding? Is Spencer innocent? “Pretty Little Liars” will continue to explore what happened to Alison and who has been tormenting them in episode 23, “Unbridled.”

Last time viewers left off, the four girls had split up to battle some challenges:

Spencer

Thanks to the help of a drug counselor, Spencer is on the road to recovery from her bender with prescription pills. But recovery comes with a price, and episode 22 found her facing some demons from her past as a flashback potentially revealed that she tried to kill Alison with a shovel. And that wasn’t the only thing she unearthed. A run-in with Alison’s mother left her speculating that Mrs. DiLaurentis left the latest “A” note in her bed.

Hanna

Hanna found herself accused by the police of sending them a note that claimed that Alison is alive. Denying any involvement or knowing if it was true or not, Hanna figured out that the note came from Paige … and was forced to break the bad news to Emily.

Emily

Learning that Mona broke things off with Mike, Emily decided to get to the bottom of Mona’s involvement with Ezra. Mona revealed to Emily that Ezra had her date Mike to get dirt on Aria, and in exchange he kept some of her illegal activity out of his book.

Aria

After a weekend away with a new hottie named Riley, Aria finally got the courage to return home and tell Ezra to leave. Ezra begged for a second chance and when Aria refused, he gave her a copy of his book, telling her that there is stuff in the book that can help her. Upon reading the book, Aria learned that Ezra believes that “A” is Alison’s mom, Mrs. DiLaurentis.

What will happen in episode 23 now that Mrs. DiLaurentis has been named the new “A” suspect? According to a leaked synopsis, the four girls will reunite to participate in her charity bridal fashion show. But they aren’t doing it for a chance to try on wedding gowns. Instead they’re doing it to try to get answers about some “disturbing questions” surrounding Alison’s mom.

“Assuming that Mrs. D knows more about Ali and the night she went missing, the girls decide to help her out at a charity fashion show to gain access to the DiLaurentis house to search for answers,” teases the synopsis.

And Ali’s mom won’t be the only suspicious figure in “Unbridled.” The episode will also find two familiar faces returning to Rosewood – Ella and Jason. What brings Aria’s mom and Ali’s brother back to town is a mystery, but the synopsis reveals that they both have “something to hide.”
