Brace yourselves, “Pretty Little Liars” fans. Things are NOT looking good between Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding). The pair has kept their fair share of secrets from each other, but some Season 5 drama might finally tear them apart.

The premiere for Season 5B kicked off with Aria desperate to get into college. The Rosewood teen had applied to a handful of schools, but was rejected or put on waitlists. Aria’s initial fear was that “A” was behind her rejection letters, but Ezra warned her that her waitlist from Talmadge College could actually be due to their new admissions counselor, his ex-fiancée, Jackie Malina (Paloma Guzmán).

Desperate to get into the school, Aria sent a letter to Jackie. The letter said she regretted wasting her youth and high school years with an older man. Aria didn’t think anything of it, but Emily (Shay Mitchell) warned Aria that Ezra would be hurt if he found out. Fans know that someone is bent on exposing Aria’s secret, and it’ll be up to Aria to tell him the truth first. But can their relationship survive it? New sneak peek videos from episode 17 tease trouble on the horizon for Ezra.

Sneak Peek #1

Aria and Ezra aren’t featured in this sneak peek look at episode 17, yet the scene is definitely focused on the couple -- and a third party. In the clip, Emily is at odds with the new chef, Talia (Miranda Rae Mayo), but this time it’s not about kitchen stuff. Talia baked Ezra an innocent “thank you for hiring me” pecan pie. However, Emily knows her new co-worker is crushing on the boss. “I’m sorry if I stepped on your turf,” Talia says when Emily confronts her. Emily makes it clear she’s not interested in Ezra – or any man – and informs her about Aria.

“By the way, he’s dating one of my good friends,” Emily warns her. “So you might want to back off.”

“Good to know,” Talia says before walking away.

Sneak Peek #2

Aria tries to tell Ezra about her Talmadge situation in another sneak peek from episode 17. She manages to get out that she got accepted -- but not how she got accepted.

“That’s fantastic news,” Ezra tells her, giving her a hug. “I guess Jackie doesn’t review every single application.”

Ezra keeps talking when Aria doesn’t answer.

“Aria, Talmadge is a very good school and it’s a big one,” he continues. “It’s unlikely you’ll ever run into Jackie. Don’t let her ruin this for you.”

Ezra runs off before Aria can say anything else, but promises that they’ll celebrate later.

Will Aria tell Ezra the truth? Or will someone blurt out Aria’s secret before then? Viewers will find out when episode 17 of “Pretty Little Liars” airs on ABC Family on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m. EST.
