‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 7 Spoilers: Episode 17 Synopsis; Watch ‘Driving Miss Crazy’ Promo

Although the Liars don’t seem any closer to winning A.D’s vicious game on Season 7, episode 17 of “Pretty Little Liars,” one of the ladies will get a break from the madness and get engaged.

“Ashley (Laura Leighton) returns to Rosewood to check on Hanna (Ashley Benson) after learning some frightening information and asks Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) what his intentions are with her daughter,” the synopsis for the Freeform show's episode “Driving Miss Crazy” teases.

Although Ashley is not featured in the promo for “Driving Miss Crazy,” the narrator teases that one of the Liars will get engaged. Will it be Hanna? Since getting back together, Hanna and Caleb have been on pretty good terms, and Hanna previously mentioned to Emily that she has been thinking about starting a family with Caleb.

Could the fan favorite couple finally be ready to tie the knot?

Meanwhile, there will be more of an investigation into A.D., especially as time seems to be running our for Spencer (Troian Bellisario). That also means a reluctant alliance for one of the Liars.

“Emily (Shay Mitchell) reluctantly teams up with Mona (Janel Parrish) to investigate,” the synopsis says. In the promo, Emily and Mona can be seen sitting in an office, where Mona seemingly puts Emily on the spot, telling her to answer a question.

With the exception of Hanna (Ashley Benson), the Liars are never too thrilled to team up with Mona when it comes to taking down “A” but seeing as Spencer may be charged with murder, it seems desperate times call for desperate measures.

“Spencer’s family reels from A.D.’s latest taunt, leaving Spencer more confused than ever about who to trust,” the synopsis for the Freeform series states. In the promo, the Hastings can be frantically moving through their home as if something has gone terribly wrong.

“What the hell is this?” Peter (Nolan North) can be heard asking as Veronika (Lesley Fera) gasps at what is in front of her. Although A.D. has managed to point the police in Spencer’s direction when it comes to finding a suspect in Archer Dunhill’s (Huw Collins) murder, it seems like the villain has other plans in store for her family.

Later on in the promo, Spencer can be seen in her car with Mary Drake’s (Andrea Parker) hand over her mouth. In a sneak peek, it is revealed that Mary was waiting in Spencer’s car and forces her to drive off into the night to an unknown location. What are Mary’s intentions? Will Spencer ever be able to trust her birth mother?

Aria (Lucy Hale) will also have some trouble in the episode, as her involvement with A.D. starts to potentially affect both her relationship and her ability to sleep at night.

“Ezra (Ian Harding) notices Aria’s change in attitude and fears he may have lost her and A.D.’s machinations cause Aria to have a terrifying nightmare,” the synopsis reads.

In the promo, A.D can be seen asking Aria if Ezra knows that she once referred to him as “a twisted predator.” Aria however, insists that she never filed that report against him. Is she so caught up in A.D’s twisted game that she is pulling away from the man she loves? Or could the information A.D. has on her be causing her to lose sleep at night?

“Pretty Little Liars” Season 7, episode 17 airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
