‘Pretty Woman’ Star Richard Gere, Alejandra Silva Welcome Second Baby Boy

Richard Gere and wife Alejandra Silva welcomed their second child together.

HOLA! confirmed that the Gere and Silva’s second baby boy just arrived. They welcomed their newest bundle of joy at their ranch in Pound Ridge, New York.

Gere and Silva welcomed their first son in February last year. The arrival of the new baby makes Gere a father of three. He shares son Homer James Jigme, 20, with ex-wife Carey Lowell. This is Silva’s third child as well, sharing a 7-year-old son named Albert Friedland with ex-husband Govin Friedland.

Silva and her newborn are reportedly healthy and comfortable. The couple prefers to have their baby at home for complete privacy. Their friends and family were very happy for them, especially their eldest son, Alexander.

Gere and Silva’s relationship began in 2014 when they ran into each other at a hotel that the latter was managing. A mutual friend re-introduced the two, and there was an instant connection. They married in 2018 but kept the ceremony under wraps.

An insider told People at the time that they were married “weeks and weeks ago” and were “extraordinarily happy” with their decision.

“They're so comfortable with each other, have fun together and are looking forward to their future together,” the insider said.

After their marriage was confirmed, a film source who is close to the “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale” star confessed that he “has been much happier in this half of his life because he is settled, confident and doing what he likes.”

“Practicing Buddhism and doing humanitarian work have fulfilled and transformed him, and he is at a stage when he can make the kinds of films that he likes,” the insider added.

In 2018, Silva announced her pregnancy only after they informed Dalai Lama.

“A very special moment just a few minutes ago… Getting blessings for our precious to come,” Silva wrote on Instagram in her first language, Spanish, People reported. “We couldn’t announce it before telling HH Dalai Lama.”

Silva is Gere’s third wife. He was previously married to Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995 and later to Lowell from 2002 to 2013.
