Prince Albert of Monaco tested positive for the coronavirus, the palace reported on Thursday.

Acording to the New York Post, the palace announced that Albert, 62, the reigning monarch of the European principality of Monaco and the son of Prince Rainier and former American Hollywood actress, the late Princess Grace, tested postive for the virus however, "there were no concerns for his health" and that he would continue to work from his private apartment.

The prince is the latest high-profile victim of the COVID-19 pandemic that has infected at least 200,000 individuals worldwide and killed more than 9,000, Johns Hopkins University reported.
