Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson Not Affectionate During Eugenie's Wedding For This Reason

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson showed no signs of affection at Princess Eugenie's royal wedding.

The Duke and Duchess of York were seated beside each other during the wedding ceremony. However, according to body language expert Judi James, Prince Andrew only paid minimal attention to his ex-wife.

"These two are often seen using the kind of body language signals together that might hint they is still some sort of spark between, them but at their daughter's wedding it did at times look more like a freeze-out as Andrew paid the minimum amount of attention to his ex-wife's presence," James told Daily Mail.

The expert believed that Prince Andrew and Ferguson may have acted that way due to the presence of Prince Philip who was sitting right behind them. They didn't want to annoy the Duke of Edinburgh. But James believed that the guests might spot Ferguson and Prince Andrew looking close at the reception.

James also spoke with Express and shared the same observation. "Andrew and Sarah are often seen together using body language to suggest they are still as close as ever but there were no signals of warmth, closeness or affection today during the service itself," she said.

"This might have been deliberate to avoid diverting attention away from the bride and groom but it did leave Sarah looking like a slightly isolated and sad figure on her own daughters wedding day," she added. "They did share one hugely mirrored body language tell that suggested both might have been suffering from empathetic, mirrored pressure on the day."

Ferguson and Prince Andrew split following the former's toegate scandal. The Duchess of York was photographed in a scandalous situation with her financial advisor, John Bryan, sucking her toes. Royal experts believed that it was the cause of their split. However, the exes remain amicable.

Prince Andrew and Ferguson attended Royal Ascot together. They were photographed with their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice during the event and she even called her ex-husband a family. Due to this, a number of royal fans are hoping that they would remarry.

Prince Andrew and Ferguson can tie the knot again if they want. The Duke of York is now seventh in line to the throne and only the first six successors need the Queen's approval for marriage.
