Prince Andrew ‘Shades’ Harry, Meghan By Saying This Before Princess Eugenie’s Wedding

Prince Andrew may have just thrown shade at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before his daughter Princess Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank on Friday.

The dad of two was asked why his daughter, who is a non-working royal, had to invite over 800 people to her nuptials at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Prince Andrew said that it is primarily because Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank have more friends than Prince Harry and Markle combined.

“It will not be the same as the previous one held in May. It’s not a public wedding. This is meant to be a family wedding. There’ll be a few more people than most people have. There’ll be a few more than Harry had. That’s just the nature of Eugenie and Jack. They’ve got so many friends that they need a church of that size to fit them all,” he explained (via Express).

The Yorks were recently criticized for Princess Eugenie’s massive wedding especially because taxpayers had to pay for the cost of the security. Royal fans claimed that if the princess’ nuptials weren’t so big, the cost would have also been less.

Princess Eugenie’s wedding was attended by a slew of A-listers including Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, Cara Delevingne, Tracey Emin, Jack Whitehall, Chelsy Davy, Cressida Bonas, Richard Bacon, Kate Moss, Stephen Fry, and more.

Alison Boshoff, a journalist for Daily Mail, explained Princess Eugenie’s connection with some of her wedding guests. For instance, Moss may have been invited to the event because she is friends with Ferguson. Princess Eugenie also knows Moss’ boyfriend, Nikolai.

Emin and Princess Eugenie have been friends for five years, but they got even closer when the princess moved to New York recently. Princess Eugenie has also been friends with Bonas for years, and she introduced her to Prince Harry years ago.

Delevingne’s mom, Pandora, was at school with Ferguson. They have been life-long friends, and she was there to help Ferguson during her divorce from Prince Andrew. As such, Pandora’s daughters became close friends with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
