Prince Andrew's Passionate Affair, Split With 'Erotic Film' Actress Revisited

Prince Andrew dated an erotic film actress before marrying Sarah Ferguson.

According to Joe Gamp, a journalist for Express, the Duke of York and Koo Stark who appeared in the 1976 film "Emily" were reportedly engaged in a "passionate affair." Stark was infamous for her "naked lesbian shower scene" which was met with fierce disapproval from the royal family.

When Prince Andrew and Stark's romance was exposed to the public the duke was forced to end it. The members of the firm convinced Prince Andrew to broke up with Stark for fear that their relationship would only bring shame to the monarchy.

Five years after the said incident, Stark spoke up about her relationship with Prince Andrew. "The amount of attention and pressure on me became unbearable. It was a nightmare," she said about dating a royal.

Prince Andrew dated a string of women including Katie Rabbit, Carolyn Herbert, Finola Hughes and more before he ended up with Ferguson. The Duke and Duchess of York were in the same circle, so they knew each other since they were kids.

Ferguson admitted in an earlier interview that she used to sneak away from her father's polo matches as a child to "play tag with like-minded truants - including Prince Andrew, who was just my age."

In fact, they were photographed together when Ferguson was only 10 years old. In the snap, the duchess wears a red polo neck jumper with her signature curls. On the other hand, Prince Andrew sported a purple neck jumper and stands opposite to Ferguson.

Their romance only started when Princess Diana re-introduced them to each other. The Duke of York confirmed this in the past interview.

"It was at lunch we were made to sit next to each other at Ascot. It started from there," Prince Andrew said about the moment he realized that Ferguson was the one for him.

"Probably the end of last year, before Christmas perhaps and then it carried on from their, after Christmas at Sandringham and beyond that," he added.

The Queen was overjoyed when she learned about their relationship. Prince Andrew and Ferguson got married in 1986, but they separated after seven years and were officially divorced in 1996.

Royal experts blamed Ferguson's toegate scandal for their split. The exes remain amicable and still spend together which triggered royal fans to convince them to rekindle their romance and remarry.
