Prince Charles Awkwardly Reaches For Princess Anne’s Face At Christening In Photo

Prince Charles posed awkwardly beside Princess Anne at the latter’s christening decades ago. In the snap, the young royals are joined by Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II.

The throwback photo, which was uploaded on Instagram by a royal fan, shows Prince Charles sitting on the sofa beside Her Majesty. The young royal has an upset look on his face, and he doesn’t seem to be enjoying his time in front of the camera.

Prince Charles was oftentimes photographed looking like this when he was still a kid. But in the unearthed snap, he is also trying to reach for Princess Anne’s face. It is unclear if the attempt is considered as a loving and affectionate gesture towards his younger sister because Prince Charles doesn’t look at all pleased to be with Princess Anne.

But the Queen, who is carrying Princess Anne in her arms, has a huge grin on her face. She is wearing a floral dress, and her curly hair looks very neat. The Queen is also looking straight into the camera, while Princess Anne is looking elsewhere.

The infant is wearing her christening outfit, and her adorable round head is bald. Princess Anne has a happy disposition in the picture.

And sitting beside the Queen and her two children is Prince Philip. The handsome royal is wearing his official uniform, and he has a faint smile on his face. Prince Philip’s hands are also clasped together.

Ten years after Princess Anne’s christening, the Queen and Prince Philip welcomed their third child, Prince Andrew. And shortly after, the royal couple had Prince Edward.
