In related news, report about the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall hiring a new personal assistant came in the heels of rumors that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s PA has quit her role.

Natasha Archer, the Duchess of Cambridge’s PA, was made a member of the Royal Victorian Order in the New Year’s Honors list. The recognition has been dubbed as the “kiss of death” because it is typically given to staff right before they resign. Archer’s recent appointment convinced fans that Archer will resign in the coming days.

However, Archer is simply missing from the public’s eye because she is on maternity leave. She and her husband, Chris Jackson, a royal photographer for Getty, welcomed their son, Theo, last month. Archer has worked for Prince William and Middleton since 2007. She also served as Middleton’s stylist and has become one of the most recognizable faces among the royal entourage.
