Prince Charles Gushes Over ‘Wonderful Wife’ Camilla Amid Queen Consort Speculations
Prince Charles recently beamed over his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, during his trip to Ely.
The future King is on the first day of his royal tour to East Anglia when he met massive crowds of people outdoors. In one video uploaded on Twitter, a royal fan told Prince Charles that he is lucky to have a wonderful wife.
“You have a wonderful wife, Your Highness,” the fan said (via Express).
“Thank you, you’re right. I couldn’t agree more,” he replied.
After shaking hands with some royal fans, Prince Charles attended a reception alongside the residents of local almshouses. Clarence House marked the prince’s visit to the almshouses with a tweet.
“At the Thomas Parsons’ Charity almshouses, the Prince meets resident June Hewes in her home. The charity was founded by Thomas Parsons, an Ely student, in 1947. It owns and operates 27 almshouses across the City of Ely,” the tweet read.
Ahead of Prince Charles’ visit, Mike Rouse, the mayor of Ely, expressed his excitement over meeting the Duke of Cornwall.
“It’s always a pleasure for Ely to welcome a royal visitor and it will be an honor to meet Prince Charles today. It’s great to honor the work of Thomas Parsons charity which has been in Ely since the 15th century and has benefited generations of people. It’s fantastic that we can show off our farmers market. It’s a great boost for our small city and we are proud of what we do in Ely,” he said.
In related news, Prince Charles’ sweet comment about Camilla came just days after it was revealed that the Duchess of Cornwall will be crowned Queen or Queen Consort.
According to Vanity Fair, Camilla will eventually become consort when Prince Charles becomes King. After all, this is the customary title for the wife of a reigning king. Queen Consort is also the same title that Kate Middleton would get when Prince William becomes King.
