Prince Charles is reportedly as hypocritical as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at times.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were slammed for taking four private flights in 11 days. Many netizens were not happy because the couple keeps on promoting the environment, but they do not practice what they preach.

However, according to Norman Baker, the Sussexes are not the only royals who acted this way. Prince Charles is as hypocrite as the couple when it comes to championing the environment and taking private jets.

“Some would classify it as simple hypocrisy, others as some sort of Orwellian doublethink where he can hold two contradictory positions at the same time. Perhaps it boils down to arrogance,“ Norman Baker wrote for Mail on Sunday.

“It is in matters to do with travel where we see the greatest disconnect between what Charles says and what Charles does. he Prince clearly understands the threat from climate change and has articulated both the extent of the problem and the need for urgent and far-reaching action.”

Baker pointed out how the heir apparent urged all his staff to cycle to work. However, he had no plans to do the same. Prince Charles also told him that the Royal Train was already running on using cooking oil. But Prince Charles’ small but worthwhile moves pale into insignificance due to his flying habits because air travel is an enormous generator of greenhouse gases.

Prince Harry and Markle were accused of having double standards due to their continuous effort as eco-warrior but failing to do what they say. The couple even called the public to do their bits of good for the environment but they disregard their own words by flying in private jets.

“It’s not just hypocrisy about the fact that they travel in private jets, Meghan spent more than a million quid, she hasn’t even been married a year, just on clothes and she is supposed to be an eco-warrior,” Amanda Platell said on ITV’s “Good Morning Britain.”
