Prince Charles ‘Left Out,’ Overshadowed By Princess Diana In William, Harry’s Lives

Prince Charles and Princess Diana both worked together to give Prince William and Prince Harry a great childhood, but one overshadowed the other.

Historian Kate William recalled how the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex have always talked about their “marvelous childhood.” A number attributed it to their mom, Princess Diana.

“Diana was always there for them, making life fun, taking them out on exciting places, spending time with them,” William explained.

“I think there has been a degree of focus on Diana as a marvellous mother and perhaps Charles has been left out.”

Although Prince William and Prince Harry were very close to their mom, they learned a lot of things from their father, too. Both inherited the Prince of Wales’ habit to pick litters.

According to Prince William in the documentary “Prince Charles at 70,” when they were at Norfolk on school holidays, they were litter picking with their dad and they thought that it’s “perfectly normal” and were convinced that everyone must do it. They were there with their spikes stabbing the rubbish into the black plastic bags.

Prince Harry had the same belief. Some teased the duke at school for picking up rubbish, but it became second nature to him. He admitted that when he walks anywhere and sees something that stands out he instantly picks it up.

Meghan Markle’s husband added that he was “programmed” to do it because his father, Prince Charles, did it. Aside from picking trash, Prince Harry also learned to conserve energy from the heir.

Prince Charles is an active advocate of energy conservation. Due to this, Prince Harry is obsessed with turning the lights off. Unfortunately, his wife was annoyed with it.

However, Jeannie Mai praised Prince Harry for doing the right thing. According to her, Prince Harry could afford to fuel his house with power as much as he wanted but still chose to conserve energy. She added that this attitude made her like Prince Harry more because she respects people who “don’t want to waste.”

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are expected to welcome their firstborn soon. The couple announced that they would keep their birth plan a secret until they have the chance to celebrate the arrival of their baby privately. Interestingly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also expected to have their second baby soon after their first child’s birth.
