Prince Charles donned a bowler and a pinstripe suit during his royal engagement in Hyde Park.

Last weekend, the future king attended the Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association at the Cavalry Memorial, which is an annual parade that sees cavalry men honoring lost soldiers. Other attendees also wore hats as a nod to the strict dress code during the First World War.

The twenties city attire from back in the day features a bowler hat because that’s the decade in which the parade first began. Prince Charles also arrived at the venue with nine medals on his lapel.

This year’s 94th annual parade saw nearly 2,000 cavalrymen take part in the tribute, which honors the servicemen and women who have lost their lives fighting for their country since World War I.

The soldiers marched to the Cavalry Memorial, which is made from melted down metal used in enemy guns captured during the war.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles just returned to London following a four-day engagement in Germany with his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. The royal couple attended a state banquet while in the country.

As such, it has been reported that Prince Charles and Camilla have not had the chance to meet their newest grandchild, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Meghan Markle gave birth to her son on May 6 at 5:26 a.m.

Prior to the infant’s arrival, reports already swirled that the Duchess of Sussex would have already given birth before May 8. This is the scheduled travel date of Prince Charles and Camilla to Germany.

But even though Markle gave birth two days before her father-in-law’s flight, Prince Charles’ busy schedule prevented him from meeting his grandson shortly after he was born.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s firstborn have not also met his uncle Prince William, aunt Kate Middleton, and cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. But Archie has already met Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II.
