Prince Charles Loves To ‘Makes A Fuss’ Over Grandchildren, Royal Photographer Reveals
Prince Charles loves to make a fuss over his grandchildren.
On Monday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became official parents after baby Sussex’s arrival. The Prince of Wales just had the newest addition to his grandkids.
According to royal photographer Arthur Edwards of The Sun, he will not be going abroad until early May. Prince Charles is expected to visit the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor soon just as he did when Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
“He absolutely makes a fuss of them,” Edwards wrote while noting how the apparent heir would mention his grandkids in his speeches when talking about climate change.
“I'm trying to build a better life for my grandchildren and your grandkids,” Prince Charles said.
Edwards also pointed out how Prince Charles goes over to see Camilla Parker Bowles’ five grandchildren in Wiltshire. According to the veteran photographer, the future king plays games with the kids and treats them like his own.
Prince Charles was beaming with joy after Prince Harry and Markle announced that they were expecting. According to Richard Kay, the Prince of Wales received the glad tidings with delight and he didn’t mind if Markle’s pregnancy would overshadow his own celebration.
Prince Harry and Markle announced their pregnancy in October. Prince Charles was celebrating his 70th birthday in November.
According to Kay, the heir was very excited because baby Sussex could give him the chance to be the “grandfather he never had himself.” Prince Andrew of Greece died even before Prince Charles was born and he was only 3 when Queen Elizabeth II’s father King George VI passed away.
Prior to welcoming Prince Harry and Markle’s baby, Prince Charles has already three grandchildren with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. However, he reportedly felt excluded from Prince George’s life. He felt that Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael were the favored grandparents.
This affected Prince Charles and Middleton’s relationship. The Duchess of Cambridge’s relationship with her father-in-law was reportedly not as warm as Markle’s. It also infuriated Prince William when the Prince of Wales reportedly ordered his royal aides to ignore Middleton’s mom when she visits the palace.
