Prince Charles could’ve done something to prevent Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from insulting the royal family with their bombshell exit and a recent statement.

On the “Jeremy Vine Show,” panelists Anthea Turner, Andre Walker, and Jasmine Dotiwala argued over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s reaction to Queen Elizabeth’s recent ban from using the Sussex Royal brand.

“I think it’s a mitigating disaster. I think this whole thing is out of the frying pan into the fire. I think the press will be after them now whatever they do because they have blamed the press. They played the game to start off with and got burnt,” Turner said.

She also said that she hopes Prince Harry and Markle had listened to come common sense from Prince Charles, who has also been at the center of a storm and has proved that everything works out in the end.

“They could have done everything they wanted to do in their lives within the Royal Family. They were in a perfect position,” she said.

Dotiwala chimed in by saying that Prince Harry and Markle have expressed their desire to have their own voice. Walker clarified that what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were trying to say was they want to have their cake and eat it too.

“Remember they are registering a trademark to use royalty as a brand on underwear. That is having your cake and eating it. Essentially, we are not going to be part of the Royal Family, we are not going to do our duty to the public but we’re going to make a billion dollars selling off what is the office of the head of state of the United Kingdom. It is an insult!” she said.

Prince Harry and Markle have also been accused of disrespecting Queen Elizabeth after they released a statement seemingly shading the monarch’s decision to ban them from using Sussex Royal.
