Prince Charles Names These Royals As His Biggest Priorities, Not His Sons
Prince Charles just named the royals that he considers his biggest priority in his family, and it’s not his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
In the editorial he penned for his 70th birthday, the Duke of Cornwall talked about the future generation, which includes his grandchildren.
“Perhaps the clearest way to understand how much is at stake and what we might want to do, as a result, is to try and think ahead to what our grandchildren will want and need. Seventy years ago, some aspects of our lives today would have been quite simply unimaginable. Others, such as the pleasures of a walk in the country, good food from local farms, traditional craftsmanship, the beauty of landscape, gardens, and nature, and a sense of community, have changed little,” he said in this week’s issue of Country Life (via Express).
In his piece, the future King went on to discuss his plans to preserve the countryside. He described it as such a special part of people’s lives especially the future generations.
“It is clear to me that there are huge opportunities to help the countryside and rural people meet the challenges of the future. But we do need to be clear about what we want to achieve, thinking particularly about what will be important to our children and grandchildren. The role of the countryside, with all its diversity and idiosyncrasies in our national life, is too important to be left to chance,” he said.
In related news, Prince Charles love for his grandchildren has also been confirmed in BBC’s documentary “Prince, Son, and Heir: Charles at 70.” In one of the clips, Prince Charles revealed that he bought two wooden pigs for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Prince Charles also showcased his bond with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son in his newly-released 70th birthday portrait taken by Getty photographer Chris Jackson. In the snap, Prince George is sitting on his grandfather’s lap and smiling from ear to ear.
