Princess Charlotte may be the one who made headlines with her hilarious antics at the King’s Cup Regatta, but her older brother Prince George was also allegedly up to some hilarious hijinks of his own when his mother, Kate Middleton, was busy racing at the event.

According to royal reporter Victoria Murphy, the six-year-old Prince was caught out by the Regatta’s winner, adventurer Bear Grylls, as he accepted his trophy on stage at the event. While the future King may have thought he got away with doing something cheeky at the event, it appears Grylls was watching and saw as he decided to test his adventurous side with an unexpected snack.

“And also Prince George, your first ant you ate today,” Grylls joked as he took the stage. “And that is a great moment. Well done you.”

While Grylls could have been joking since the event was full of jovial moments—including bouts of laughter when Princess Charlotte seemingly stuck her tongue out at the crowd and Kate Middleton was presented with a large wooden spoon as a prize for coming in last—it proves the royal children are seemingly living life as normally as any child—something that likely makes their parents very happy, as Middleton and Prince William are especially keen on Prince George not knowing the full extent of what his future holds until he’s much older.

The couple have been open in the past about their decision to shield the truth from George that he will one day be the King of England, especially since Prince William remembers how much it changed his childhood after he was told about the title he would one day inherit and that while it helped him build a bond with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, it did bring some tension in the family between him, his father, Prince Charles and his grandmother.

“It’s no secret that she and Charles have had a prickly relationship at times,” Royal Historian Robert Lacey said. “When William became a teenager, she would have him at Windsor Castle and would open the state boxes and guide him through the papers. It was William’s constitutional education.”
