American TV presenter Lara Spencer recently mocked Prince George after it was reported that he will be taking ballet lessons as part of his second-grade curriculum at Thomas’s Battersea.

On “Good Morning America,” Spencer hinted at how busy Prince George will be once school starts. She also joked about being lucky to not have to do her homework anymore.

“In addition to the usual second-grade things, like Math, Science, and History, the future king of England will be putting down the play-doh to take on Religious Studies, computer programming, poetry and ballet among other things. Prince William says George absolutely loves ballet, I have news for you Prince William we’ll see how long that lasts,” she said before laughing.

After hearing Spencer’s comment, the members of the public couldn’t also help but control their laughter. The live audiences also gave the American TV presenter thunderous applause.

“Well, he might. But, between Religious Studies and the computer programming, I would want to go back to the play-doh,” Spencer said.

Shortly after the episode aired, royal fans criticized the host for her offensive remark. One royal fan slammed Spencer for laughing at something that Prince George is passionate about.

“How dare you laugh at Prince George taking up the art form of ballet. How dare you shame boys like this. This is why boys get bullied. You are a grown woman. You should be ashamed of yourself. I am beyond disgusted by your laughter on-air,” one person tweeted.

Another fan uploaded a clip of Spencer on “Good Morning America” and then called the presenter despicable for laughing at a kid considering she’s a much older person.

Meanwhile, Prince George isn’t the only member of the royal family who is taking ballet lessons at the moment. His younger sister, Princess Charlotte, also loves to dance.

The young royals’ passion for dancing may have been inherited from Princess Diana, who also loved dancing ballet.
