Prince Harry was recently accused of being in a doomsday cult by "TalkRADIO" host Julia Hartley-Brewer. The host’s remark came after the Duke of Sussex said that the planet may not be able to sustain the world’s growing population.

While on her radio show, Hartley-Brewer said that Meghan Markle’s husband doesn’t seem to have any evidence to support his statement.

“In what way do we think there is any evidence to claim that this planet can’t sustain the population we’ve got right now? Or indeed a bigger population with predictions of it hitting nine or ten billion before it plateaus out in the next, say, 50 years?” she said.

The radio host went on to say that she can’t imagine what it must be like to go through life basically as a part of a doomsday cult. She also can’t imagine what it must be like to think that the world is in such a terrible position just like what Prince Harry suggested.

“I understand being concerned about renewable energy and replacing fossil fuels and clean the air and polluting the sea and all that. Absolutely that all makes sense to me but I find this idea that this view that human beings are effectively parasites on the planet, I find it such a depressing thought… I am really glad that I have a much more positive view of life,” she said.

Earlier this week, Prince Harry’s interview with conservationist Jane Goodall was released. During their conversation, the Duke of Sussex said that he plans on having only two children with his wife to help manage the ongoing problem of overpopulation.

The royal’s comment did not sit well with royal fans and critics alike who thought that he was encouraging the public to not have more than two kids. Some critics also suggested that Prince Harry’s statement might have been a dig at Prince William because the future King has three children.
