KEY POINTS

- Realtor approved of the Sussexes' decision to settle in Montecito
Prince Harry shared one of the things that he loves about his new home with Meghan Markle and it has something to do with Archie and sports -- the outdoor space.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to their new mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara in July. On Saturday, Prince Harry spoke with the staff and volunteers from the Rugby Football League to mark its 125th anniversary and subtly mentioned his home during his speech.
"What I need is a few mini rugby balls that I can then get Archie involved with the game, because at the moment it's impossible to find any," Prince Harry said as quoted by Entertainment Tonight.
"But I've got a little space outside, which I'm fortunate enough to have so I need to get him playing some Rugby League," he added.
"I'm just unbelievably fortunate and grateful to have outdoor space and see my son be able to be outside, because I know so many people just haven't had that opportunity in the last five months."
Prince Harry and Markle's home has nine bedrooms and 19 bathrooms. Its amenities include a library, spa, wet and dry saunas, a gym, game room, arcade, theater, wine cellar and a five-car garage. It has spacious outdoors, too, with a rose garden, a tennis court, tea house, children's cottage and a pool.
The duke added that their top priority is their son, Archie.
"Our little man is our No. 1 priority, but our work after that is the second priority," Prince Harry continued.
"And we’re just trying to do everything we can to do our part to make the world a better place.”
“Finding Freedom” co-author Omid Scobie said the couple took out a mortgage to purchase their “forever home.” They bought it without any help from Prince Charles because they don’t want the royals to have a reason to have control over them, according to a source.
Meanwhile, Cristal Clarke, a luxury property specialist, approved of the couple's decision to settle in their current place. Clarke said Montecito is a great environment to raise Archie because it is "one of the safest and most family-friendly communities surrounded by security fencing, entered via gated driveways and secluded from view by tall hedges and other lush landscaping."
It has great private and public schools, parks, and family-friendly services as well, according to Clarke.
