  • Queen Elizabeth wants to save Prince Harry from further heartbreak due to Meghan Markle
  • Queen Elizabeth not upset over Archie snub

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been rumored to be divorcing for months. And recent claims also linked Queen Elizabeth to the royal couple.

According to New Idea, the monarch spoke to her grandson during his recent return to the United Kingdom to warn him about his marriage to Markle. The Queen allegedly encouraged Prince Harry to dump his wife since this is the only way to save the royal family.

An unnamed source claimed that Markle’s attempt to take Archie away and to make sure that the Queen won’t see him was the last straw for Her Majesty. As such, the 93-year-old couldn’t help but blame her granddaughter-in-law. The Queen also reportedly thinks that Prince Harry should end the marriage before Markle breaks his heart.

However, the claims made by the tabloid should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, more reliable sources previously claimed that it was just right for Markle and Prince Harry to not bring Archie to the United Kingdom. At least one royal expert also said that the Queen wasn’t saddened by the alleged snub because she’s not fond of kids, to begin with.

While speaking on “Today,” international royal correspondent Keir Simmons said that the Queen is not big into babies.

“As to whether or not Harry and Meghan should have brought Archie with them, my wife Jess said this morning, 'who brings a baby on a work trip?’” she said.

Meanwhile, another source told Daily Mail that Prince Harry and Markle’s last royal appearance was bittersweet for the royal couple. Shortly after the royal couple’s engagement, they immediately wanted to return to Canada to be with their 10-month-old son.

“She said [the trip] has been a confirmation that they made the right choice in parting ways. There's no warmth between the family members and she wants to raise Archie in a household that is filled with laughter and joy and lots of hugs,” she said.

The source’s claim suggests that Markle doesn’t mind not being around the royal family. However, there is no mention regarding her alleged impending divorce from Prince Harry.
