Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just made a professional move after leaving the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step back from their royal roles and work to be financially independent. They carried out their final engagement in March and moved to the United States after that.
According to E! News, Prince Harry and Markle just made a professional move after their royal exit by signing on with Harry Walker Agency for speaking engagements. They are expected to engage in moderated discussions and keynote speeches with trade associations, corporations and community forums.
The Telegraph reported that the agency also represents the Obamas, the Clintons, and a host of American celebrities. With the firm’s help, the royal couple are expected to secure lucrative speaking engagements because its current clients earn six-figure sums per appearance.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly keen to speak about the issues close to their heart, which include racial justice, gender equality, environmental concerns and mental health.
Prince Harry and Markle have continued their charity efforts in Los Angeles. In April, the royal couple volunteered to deliver hot meals for Project Angel Food, a nonprofit that delivers medically tailored meals to sick people.
“They were dressed so casually -- that's not how you expect to see them,” Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub told CNN. “You don't expect to see them at your door.”
On Tuesday (June 23), the royal couple volunteered again. They made a secret visit to Feed Hope, the organization run by Father Greg Boyle that is dedicated to giving hope to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals. During their visit, the royal couple helped prepare food.
“It was remarkable to share our Feed Hope program with Harry and Meghan. They are both down to earth and kind. The staff was honored they took the time to see us, hear us and walk on our journey … We will never forget it,” Mariana Enriquez, manager of the Homegirl Cafe, told Page Six.
“With their visit, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex saw the dignity and power that comes from having a job. At Homeboy … people can continue to heal and they work, learning skills and changing their lives, changing their families and changing communities,” Thomas Vozzo, CEO of Homeboy Industries, also told the outlet.
