Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Movie Trailer Shows Duchess Confronting Her Father
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story is returning to Lifetime in “Harry and Meghan: Becoming Royal.” The TV movie will chronicle Meghan and Harry’s all the drama since Meghan and Harry got engaged, and the trailer is jam-packed with twists from the headlines.
Lifetime released a new trailer for the movie Thursday, and it shows how rough the first year of marriage has been for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The unauthorized movie will delve into Meghan’s relationship with her father, Thomas Markle. The video (seen above) shows Meghan (Tiffany Smith) realizing that her father posed for paparazzi pictures. She’s in tears as she confronts him.
She isn’t the only one with family drama. The extended “Becoming Royal” trailer shows Prince Harry (Charlie Field) arguing with Prince William (Jordan Whalen). “The family’s been around for a thousand years, you’ve known each other 18 months,” William says.
“I’m not going to silence her,” Harry says.
Of course, there are always reports that Meghan is breaking royal traditions, but there are also rumors that William and Harry have been fighting. Harry supposedly didn’t feel like William was welcoming to his bride.
Meghan is also shown being hounded by photographers and being assigned a royal advisor sent to “keep [Meghan] in line.”
The trailer even shows a scene where Meghan says she “can’t do this anymore,” and Prince Harry convinces her that their love can overcome anything. That might be a fictional scene, but some very real scenarios are being recreated. There is a very clear shot replicating Meghan’s first Christmas with the royal family.
Ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last year, Lifetime released another movie, “Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance.” The sequel recasts the royals with new actors but seems to pick up where the last one left off.
According to Lifetime’s synopsis, the movie will “reveal the untold joys and challenges of life inside the Royal Family during their pivotal first year of marriage. Beyond blending their families and cultures, Harry and Meghan’s core values are put to the test as they try to find the balance between honoring royal tradition and staying true to their beliefs.”
“Harry and Meghan: Becoming Royal” premieres on May 27 on Lifetime. Right after the movie, a new unscripted special, “Meghan & Harry: Baby Fever,” will premiere on the network.
