Prince Harry, Meghan’s Body Language In Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday Portrait Explained
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stole the limelight in Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portraits.
A body language expert explained discussed the couple’s relationship in the newly-released snaps captured by Chris Jackson. Judi James told the Daily Star that it was Markle that broke the formality in the royal family’s portrait.
“Actually leaning forward and laughing as she appears to join in the fun with the children in front of her. Unlike her husband who is holding George rather awkwardly, Camilla looks totally comfortable with little Charlotte who in turn looks cozy with her doting granny. With her three children posing in the group, Kate looks supremely confident and genuinely happy here, beaming with pride as she clutches baby Louis,” she said.
James also spoke with The Sun and said that it was evident how Prince Harry and Markle were thinking about their unborn baby when they posed for the photo.
“Harry, in particular, seems to be sporting a very secretive-looking smile in the more formal photo, with his lips closed and a knowing eye expression. Meghan holds her hands over her stomach in a light, elegant-looking gesture that has since turned into a baby bump ritual,” she said.
“It’s a sign of her pregnancy secret at this point as soon as the more formal posing is over that, rather than communicating with Harry, she leans forward towards Charlotte and George, laughing with them and trying to share their fun in a gesture of empathy that would have been a clue that children were uppermost in their mind,” James added.
Prince Harry and Markle are definitely looking forward to the arrival of their firstborn sometime in the spring of 2019. It has been reported that the Duke of Sussex hopes that his child will be a girl. In next year’s 71st birthday portrait, Prince Harry and Markle will have their baby in tow.
