Prince Harry Met Meghan Markle's Father Thomas Before Royal Wedding, Samantha Claims

Prince Harry has already met Meghan Markle's dad, Thomas Markle, according to her half-sister, Samantha.

Samantha recently spoke with Irish television network RTE and claimed that the Duke of Sussex and his father-in-law have already met face-to-face, despite Thomas' claim that he has yet to meet Markle's royal husband. "Yes he did, and I'm not at liberty to discuss the details of that, but they did," Samantha told Ray D'Arcy when asked if Prince Harry and Thomas have already met.

She added that the meeting had been "respectful" and "positive" for both of them. She also noted that Prince Harry was "quite gentlemanly." "They did the right thing. When you're going to marry someone's daughter you want to ask appropriately and be respectful, and they both were," Samantha added. "The public knew nothing about the meeting."

Samantha didn't share when and where Prince Harry and Thomas' meeting took place. In the same interview, she explained why their father agreed to stage his photos in the run-up of Prince Harry and Markle's royal wedding.

"The paparazzi were out there taking horrible pictures. I said, 'You can't let them disparage you like this Dad, this is not you,'" she said. "Just like when you pass out a business card, you have a right to be seen in the public as you really are."

Samantha recommended a photographer so the world can see who Thomas really is. She insisted that there is nothing wrong with staging photos and added that what's wrong is to "purposely take horrible photos and say horrible things about them that are not true."

Samantha already took the blame for Thomas' staged photo scandal. According to her, it was her idea and that it was not meant to cash-in on the couple but to give the world a positive picture of their father.

"The bad press over my father doing staged photos is my fault. The media was unfairly making him look bad so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family. We had no idea he would be taken advantage of. It was not for money @KensingtonRoyal," Samantha wrote on Twitter.

Thomas skipped Prince Harry and Markle's wedding due to his heart surgery. However, an insider insisted that he just faked the surgery to skip the event because he needed a solid excuse to not attend the wedding and face the royal family for further embarrassment.
