Prince Harry Releases Thank You Cards With ‘Old’ Photo For 34th Birthday
Prince Harry just sent out thank you cards to those that greeted him on his 34th birthday on Sept. 15.
But according to People, it is evident that the Duke of Sussex opted to use a throwback photo of himself alongside the note. More specifically, the snap that he attached alongside the thank you cards was taken in December 2016 during his visit to Camp Ayanganna.
“The Duke of Sussex is most grateful to you for writing as you did on the occasion of his 34th birthday. It really was so thoughtful of you and His Royal Highness sends his warmest thanks and best wishes,” the note read.
Prince Harry’s thank you cards appeared on the official Kensington Palace stationery, and the enveloped is marked with royal mail. Queen Elizabeth II’s gold seal is also featured on the envelope.
The Duke of Sussex is not the only royal to recently send out thank you cards to his greeters. Last month, his wife, Meghan Markle, also released her first thank you cards as a new member of the royal family. The Duchess of Sussex’s notes were accompanied by a candid photo of herself taken by Gerry Mooney in Ireland in July.
In the cards, it was written, “The Duchess of Sussex is so touched you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of her 37th birthday. It really was most thoughtful of you and Her Royal Highness sends you her heartfelt thanks and best wishes.
Last month, Kate Middleton also released two thank you cards on the occasion of Prince George’s 5th birthday and Prince Louis’ christening. The photo on Prince Louis’ christening features a candid snap of the infant laughing while being carried by the Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince George’s thank you cards included a photo of the future king smiling from ear to ear while at his younger brother’s baptism. Prince William’s eldest son is wearing a white buttoned-down polo shirt and blue shorts in the picture.
