Prince Harry Reveals What Prince Charles Does For Fun; It Involves Blood
Prince Harry just revealed what his dad, Prince Charles, loves to do for fun.
In BBC’s documentary to commemorate Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, Prince Harry said that his dad enjoys hedge-lying with his policemen. The Duke of Sussex also revealed that Prince Charles and his staff sometimes return from the activity covered in blood.
“They come back looking like they’ve had a fight,” he said (via Express).
In related news, Prince Charles also revealed in the BBC documentary that he consults his eldest son, Prince William, with almost everything regarding the royal family. One of the reasons is because Prince Charles is starting to take on more responsibilities on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.
There are some reports suggesting that the Queen will retire from being the monarch when she turns 95. If this will be proven to be correct, Her Majesty will abdicate in 2021. Prince Charles may take over as King or a Prince Regent.
Robert Jobson, a royal correspondent, told Daily Mail, “I understand the Queen has given the matter considerable thought and believes that, if she is still alive at 95, she will seriously consider passing the reign to Charles. Her Majesty is mindful of her age and wants to make sure when the time comes, the transition of the crown in seamless.
If Prince Charles will be known as Prince Regent, he will be able to rule the monarchy without being named King. The Regency Act of 1937 made way for a Prince Regent to step in should the monarch become incapacitated.
“In the event of incapacity of the sovereign through illness, and for the performance of certain royal functions in the name and on behalf of the sovereign in certain and other events,” the Regency Act of 1937 read.
But regardless if Prince Charles will become Prince Regent or King, his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, will be called Queen or Queen Consort.
