Prince Harry 'Subordinate' In Every Relationship, Morphed Depending On Who He's Dating: Royal Expert
KEY POINTS
- Duncan Larcombe said Prince Harry has always been the "subordinate" in his relationships
- The Duke of Sussex reportedly changed and morphed depending on whom he was dating
- Prince Harry had dramatic transformations when he was with Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas
Prince Harry could easily be influenced because he was a "very lost soul" even before his mom, Princess Diana, died, according to a royal expert.
Duncan Larcombe, the former royal editor of The Sun and author of the 2017 book "Prince Harry: The Inside Story," shared his thoughts about the Duke of Sussex. According to him, he noticed a pattern whenever Prince William's younger brother would date.
Before meeting and marrying Meghan Markle, Prince Harry dated a few women. Larcombe said that King Charles' youngest son had always been "very much the subordinate" in his relationships.
"Harry has changed and morphed depending on who he's been dating," he told Fox News Digital. He added that the royal was "the boyfriend who's willing to go along and meet all the friends of the new girlfriend and just tag along."
He recounted when Prince Harry dated his exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas. He met Davy in South Africa during his gap year when he was just 19. They spent the summer together and continued dating even after he returned to the United Kingdom.
"Harry befriended a whole group of her chums, basically he morphed into Chelsy's friends," Larcombe said. "He got a girlfriend who was from Africa, and before you knew it, Harry was walking around in his bare feet, sitting by [the] campfire, paddling by in the outbacks of Africa."
When he started going out with the 33-year-old British model and actress Bonas, he also did the same. Larcombe described Bonas as the "Bohemian society girl" who dragged the royal to the Glastonbury Rock Festival, and he was so game with it.
"With Cressida, he was the Bohemian, going to music festivals dressed in brand new, expensive clothes," Larcombe explained. "And he sort of turned up almost like he'd been dressed by her. It's really awkward looking. He looked ridiculous."
The royal expert clarified his point, saying Prince Harry "really just morphed depending on who he's with, and that's a worrying sign."
Many also noticed that he continued to be the "subordinate" in his marriage to Markle. Earlier this month, they dropped two photos from the One Young World Summit in Manchester last month. In one snap, Markle stood in front of Prince Harry, projecting an "air of confidence and independence."
According to body language expert Katia Loisel, Prince Harry played a more "supportive role." Loisel noted how Prince Harry allowed Markle to take the center stage without competing with her. His gestures suggested "both support and sense of pride."
