  • Royal expert Ingrid Seward believes Princes Harry and William will put their differences aside at Prince Philip's funeral
  • They will likely put on a united front as the whole world will be watching them, per biographer Andrew Morton

Prince Harry and Prince William will be coming face-to-face for the first time since the former quit royal duties and moved to California at their grandfather Prince Philip's funeral Saturday. Now, royal experts have shared their predictions on how the brothers' reunion will go.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward believes Prince William and Prince Harry will be at least cordial with each other during the televised service this weekend. However, she predicted that the Duke of Sussex is unlikely to stay for long in the U.K. following Prince Philip's funeral.

"For the period that Harry is [in England], they will very much put their differences behind them," the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine told Us Weekly. "I think that Harry will want to get back to Meghan [Markle, his wife] as soon as the funeral is over … so he won’t have a great deal of time to be in a potentially embarrassing situation with his family."

The "Prince Philip Revealed" author added that despite the ups and downs in the family, "there's no way" Prince Harry's relatives will be "anything other [than] charming to him."

"Harry knows that it’s about his grandfather. … They’re all going to put on a very good show," she added.

Royal expert Andrew Morton, a biographer of Princess Diana, also believes that the siblings will put on a united front despite their rumored rift because "the whole world will be watching" them as they interact with their father, Prince Charles.

"In a way, it’s kind of sad because the focus should be on Prince Philip and his life and legacy," he said. "I think that they’ll behave very well and … there will be a degree of interaction. They will be cordial, as opposed to friendly. I don’t think there’ll be anybody putting their arms around one another."

Gayle King earlier said that Prince Harry and Prince William have already talked since his and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey aired in March. However, the royal siblings only talked about one topic, the statue they had commissioned in honor of their mom Princess Diana which will be unveiled on July 1, which would have been her 60th birthday, in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace.

It has been reported that Prince William became uncomfortable speaking to his younger brother over the phone after their private conversation was leaked. King, a friend of the Duchess of Sussex, said that Prince Harry's conversations with his brother and father had not been productive.
