Prince Harry Won’t Allow Meghan To Return To ‘Suits’ For This Reason
Prince Harry will most likely not allow Meghan Markle to return to “Suits,” if rumors about her being invited back on the series turn out to be true.
Earlier this week, Daily Star reported that the bosses of the hit USA Network show are offering Markle’s chosen charity millions for her to make a cameo as Rachel Zane. Her appearance will only last for two minutes, and the scene will be filmed in the United Kingdom so Markle won’t have to fly to Toronto.
An unnamed senior production source said that the filming for Markle’s scene will be done in half a day or less. And even though the amount of money that will be given to the Duchess of Sussex’s chosen charity has not been confirmed, it was being estimated at around $6 million.
However, it is highly unlikely for Markle’s husband, Prince Harry, to allow his wife to return to the show. One of the main reasons is that the “Suits” alum is pregnant with their first child, and she’s expected to give birth in the spring of 2019.
But another reason is that the Duke of Sussex wants to preserve his and his wife’s privacy as much as possible. During the early days of his relationship with Markle, he issued a statement via Kensington Palace saying that he wants everyone to respect him and Markle.
“Harry is also aware that there is significant curiosity about his private life. He has never been comfortable with this, but he has tried to develop a thick skin about the level of media interest that comes with it,” the statement read.
Markle also decided to exit “Suits” following her engagement to Prince Harry. She told BBC that she didn’t give up on her acting career, but she intends to focus on other things at the moment.
Meanwhile, Harper’s Bazaar claimed that there is no talk of Markle returning to “Suits” and that the recent reports were just mere rumors.
“The show has not made a multi-million-dollar charity donation offer to Meghan to return for a cameo. There are no plans for her to return to the show,” a source said.
