Prince Harry’s new photo as a father may reveal a heartbreaking detail about his past.

On Monday, the Duke of Sussex stepped out of Frogmore Cottage to announce to the entire world that his baby has been born. During the outing, Prince Harry looked extremely happy and excited over Archie Harrison’s birth.

But Daniela Esler, a journalist for News.co.au said seeing Prince Harry as happy as he was on the day that his son was born was something that had been missing for an entire year.

“The sight of him all boyish charm and glee was very much old Harry; the joking, joyful Prince whose authenticity and warmth have earned him a devoted legion of fans the world over. By contrast, we have grown sadly accustomed to new Harry of late; a man who has plodded along looking like he had the weight of the world on his Gieves & Hawkes bespoke suited shoulders,” she wrote.

Esler went on to say that Prince Harry has had a tough time last year even though he also got married, went on his first overseas tour with Markle, and became an expectant father.

But there were also reports about an alleged feud between him and Prince William, and he could’ve also been affected by rumors of Markle and Kate Middleton feuding.

“Consider how it must have felt for Harry: Rather than basking in the glow of great love and the beginning of a new and thrilling life, he was having to contend with the clacking of critical tongues and a whisper campaign that he had been seduced by a social climber,” Esler wrote.

Towards the end of her article, Esler said that she has high hopes for Prince Harry now that he is a father. She said that with the wave of public support, global goodwill, and presents on their way both from Oprah and the Obamas, things could be looking up for Markle’s husband.
