Prince Philip Already Found ‘Perfect Choice’ To Replace Harry’s Major Role After Megxit

Prince Philip has already found his perfect choice to take over Prince Harry’s major role after Megxit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their resignation two weeks ago. Prince Harry’s exit was deemed a massive blow to the Duke of Edinburgh because the 98-year-old senior royal passed down a major role to Meghan Markle’s husband.

However, according to Express, Prince Philip has already found the perfect replacement for the role of Captain General of the Royal Marines. Queen Elizabeth II’s husband reportedly named his daughter Princess Anne as the perfect choice, royal author Brian Hoey revealed.

“Princess Anne is already Admiral Chief Commandant of the Royal Navy and the Duke believes she would be the perfect choice for the Marines,” Hoey told The Sun.

“When Prince Philip stepped down in 2017 he was delighted that Afghan veteran Harry would take over from him. But he believes Prince Harry him. But he believes Prince Harry has let down the Royal Marines by quitting after just two years. He would like Anne to take over.”

Prince Harry took the post from Prince Philip following the latter’s resignation in 2017. The Duke of Sussex was forced to relinquish it after he and Markle announced that they were stepping back as senior royals.

“As agreed in this new arrangement, they understand that they are required to step back from Royal duties, including official military appointments. They will no longer receive public funds for Royal duties,” a statement from the Buckingham Palace read.

There were speculations that Prince Philip wasn’t happy with Prince Harry and Markle’s decision. It was his personal decision to pass down the appointment to Prince Harry because just like him, his grandson thrived in the military force where he served for 10 years.
