Prince Philip Rides Horse-Drawn Carriage Near Meghan Markle, Harry’s Home In Windsor
Prince Philip is riding horses again.
On Monday, the 97-year-old royal was spotted riding a horse-drawn carriage near Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new home in Windsor. The Duke of Edinburgh was in good spirits as he viewed the preparations for the Royal Windsor Horse Show that was to take place next month.
On the said sighting, Prince Philip wore a flat cap, khaki coat and gloves. He was joined by two grooms as he enjoyed his favorite hobby in Windsor Castle’s grounds.
Earlier this month, the duke and Queen Elizabeth II were spotted enjoying the same ride separately. The Queen enjoyed her morning ride on her Felly pony.
Her Majesty donned her trademark head scarf and wrapped herself up in a coat. She was joined by her head groom Terry Pendry who also rode a black pony.
Meanwhile, Prince Philip took the reins and enjoyed his horse carriage ride with two stablewomen. He dressed for comfort in a flat cap, khaki coat and gloves.
Some are concerned about the senior royals’ health and safety as they continue to ride horses. However, both are showing no signs that they would stop this hobby anytime soon.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle just moved to Frogmore Cottage recently. The couple was reportedly expected to move there late March, but their house move was delayed because they kept on making changes in the design.
Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly enjoyed their babymoon at Heckfield Place Hotel where they stayed at the Long Room, which costs $13,000 per night. They were accompanied by three protection officer who stayed at $457-a-night rooms.
According to one netizen, the couple was just forced to stay there because Queen Elizabeth II wanted them out of Kensington Palace. Her Majesty reportedly wanted them to move out on April 1, but since their new home was still not ready, they opted to stay in a luxury hotel.
Chances are high that Prince Harry and Markle’s baby would enjoy more time with Queen Elizabeth II. Sophie, Countess of Wessex said that they are fortunate to live in Windsor near Her Majesty because her kids get to enjoy their weekends with the monarch. Now that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also in Windsor and are based at Buckingham Palace, they might enjoy the same privileges as the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
