Prince Philip was previously rushed to the hospital to seek treatment for a pre-existing condition.

Four days later, he was able to check out of King Edward VII Hospital just in time for the Christmas celebrations in Sandringham.

Even though the palace announced that the Duke of Edinburgh was rushed to the hospital, they didn’t provide any details regarding his so-called pre-existing condition.

But eight years ago, a similar thing happened to Queen Elizabeth II’s husband.

While celebrating Christmas with the members of the royal family, the 98-year-old retired royal reportedly suffered from chest pains. After receiving some precautionary tests, he underwent minor surgery to open a blocked artery.

In 2008, Prince Philip also suffered a chest infection, and he reportedly didn’t accept visitors so that he could catch up on some paperwork.

Last year, Prince Philip was rushed to the hospital to undergo hip surgery. He was able to recover in time for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in May.

Meanwhile, days after he returned home to Sandringham, Prince Charles gave royal fans an update regarding his father. The heir to the throne said that Prince Philip is doing much better.

In related news, a psychic previously claimed that Prince Philip could die before the year ends. On her website, Betsey Lewis claimed that the dad of four could suddenly pass away.

Lewis’s predictions were feared to come true after the Duke of Edinburgh was rushed to the hospital. But just like all of his previous hospitalizations, he managed to recover well.

On Twitter, royal fans expressed their concern for the Queen’s husband especially after his latest photo was made fun of by some netizens.

“I really don’t like Prince Philip, but some of the comments that I have seen about him are beyond disrespectful and downright vile. At the end of the day, he’s still an elderly man who is in failing health and has a family who loves him. Show some respect!” Twitter user @wizard_david04 said.

“Imagine being so low to judge a man from his appearance, he’s 98! He’s a royal with many health issues, who has just been in the hospital just before Christmas. Some comments on this post are disgusting,” Twitter user @thejamesowens said.
