Prince William ‘Brought His Baggage’ Into Kate Middleton Relationship, Causing It To Fail
Prince William and Kate Middleton split twice during their decade-long relationship. But contrary to rumors, the Duchess of Cambridge is not to be blamed for their breakups.
A royal expert previously said that the Duke of Cambridge wanted to sow his wild oats and explore his options, so this is why he called it quits with Middleton in 2007. Prince William’s friends and Camilla also disliked Middleton for him, and this made his second guess the future of their relationship.
But on the online forum site Quora, one royal fan said that this may not entirely be the case. Gina Seldarius said that Middleton came from a happy and complete family. In fact, one of the reasons why Prince William fell in love with her is because of how she is with her parents and siblings.
Prince William, on the other hand, came from a broken family. And he also faced different kinds of pressure because of his future role as King.
“William is a future king, stemming from a broken family with the trauma of his mother’s public death added. He might have seemed a catch on paper, but with the amount of baggage, he brought into his relationship with Catherine you could likely fill a plane’s cargo hold… Add to that that they were both very young and relationships at that age often have a short lifespan and it’s surprising enough that they made it at all,” she said.
Julie Parsons, a former RGN at the National Health Service, said that Prince William didn’t just have second thoughts about Middleton. The dad of three had hundreds of doubts regarding himself and his relationship.
“This guy has literally the whole world on his shoulders every day. And every way possible he's been stripped to the bones and laughed at mocked. pumped up and let out. He doesn't have a life he has an existence. His wife and children give him what everyone else has and rightfully deserve,” she said.
