Prince William Had ‘Thunderous Reaction’ To This Kate Middleton Shade In University
Prince William got upset over a jab at Kate Middleton while playing Never Have I Ever during their university days.
In the book “Making of a Royal Romance,” author Katie Nicholl said that Prince William felt provoked while playing the game with his friends. At that time, the Duke of Cambridge’s former love interest, Carly Massy-Birch, was also present.
“When it was Carly’s turn to play, she announced, ‘I’ve never dated two people in this room,’ knowing fully well that William was the only one who had because Kate was sitting next to him," she wrote.
Prince William reportedly threw a thunderous look at Massy-Birch before whispering under his breath that he couldn’t believe that she said that. The other people who played the game were shocked by what Massy-Birch said, including Middleton, who stopped talking to her afterward.
A source told Nicholl that everyone in the group was aware that Prince William was already dating Middleton at that time, but the couple never confirmed it publicly.
Prior to playing the game, reports swirled that Massy-Birch was already grating on Middleton due to her close living situation with her ex-boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Massy-Birch is not the only woman who has captured Middleton’s attention negatively. According to The Sun, Middleton had a bad falling out with one of her closest friends, Rose Hanbury. Their feud was really bad that the Duchess of Cambridge even went as far as asking her husband to stop talking to Hanbury as well.
“It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out. They used to be close but that is not the case anymore… William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends,” the source said.
But as of late, Middleton, Hanbury, and Prince William have not yet confirmed or denied the reports regarding their alleged feud.
